“Breast cancer became the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide” (WHO). This startling fact led to a concerted global effort to reduce this number through the promotion of breast health, improved access to quality care, and timely cancer detection (WHO). The cure rate for breast cancer in particular, may be drastically reduced by early detection and treatment, making access to diagnostic tests ever more important. Recently too, there has been an overall decline in preventative diagnostic testing, such as mammograms, throughout the global Covid-19 pandemic. Now, more than ever, it is critical to join in the fight against breast cancer and to provide easy and affordable access to preventative diagnostic tests.
For over a decade, hospitals have joined Labconco in our fight against breast cancer with our cart for the cure program.
